<p>My name's Laura, and I live in Orange County. I'm originally from Pittsburgh, so I'm looking forward to all the out-of-staters who will be just as lost as I've been in SoCal. I go to Tesoro High School, and I can't wait to leave.</p>
<p>I'll be majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, and I'm also contemplating a double major--or at the very least a minor--in Philosophy. Even though there isn't any money in it, I love writing and I'm very excited to be able to pursue it in Los Angeles. I plan on getting involved with various literacy, tutoring and writing projects at UCLA, as well as going abroad to teach English and gain some perspective.</p>
<p>I definitely look forward to meeting all you incredible people; college has been a long time coming.</p>

I'm part Japanese, Italian, and French (which is commonly mistaken as hispanic, pero soy gringa) I got to school at Morro Bay High School (surfers know where I'm talking about ;-) Morro Bay is in San Luis Obispo County and near Cal Poly. I'm entering as an "undeclared life science" but I plan to go prepsych. Psych, according to my friends is a "fake" "jock" major, but whatever, at least all the "fake jocks" will tilt the curve in my favor =-) I applied for a double res hall, late night, and as the applicaiton put it "I would not like a roomate who does not drink alcohol" haha I'm on the facebook (Janene Karla Dorio), so 09er's feel free to message me there! <p>hey i'm Hannah. live in pasadena, go to school in la canada...nice little preppy private school on a hill...haha...already know some of you here. i'm pretty excited 'bout UCLA..i lied...i'm VERY excited 'bout UCLA. and just to mention a couple things that i read/skimmed through...loved UCLA the moment i visited the campus...am very glad i got in and all...i have Indian friends too...and have also lived in Singapore for 8 years...pretty sweet, i've got friends there too...um...interested in bio..majoring in it..but we'll see how that goes...i hope i don't die from it...and yep...that's pretty much it...i can't wait to meet a bunch of you in the fall...bored...hit me up on AIM: braindeadbball</p>

I wanted to go to Cal cuz i'm incredibly liberal and i liked the open social environment and i just felt more free, but hopefully UCLA isnt as trendy or superficial as my current high school in Westlake (ventura county, north LA area). Attending undeclared phys sci, trying to switch to aerospace engineering. Top dorm choice is plaza (deneve).</p>

Yeah, I heard UCLA was sort of like an extension of Westlake, which was an initial turn-off for me ;-) but that's okay, I'm sure there will be lots of chill, interesting people.</p>

<p>I'm Stephen and I go to Temecula Valley High School in Temecula in southern california, about an hour north of San Diego on the 15.
I like sports (just finishing up my last high school season in tennis) and math/science. I will be majoring in materials engineering at ucla.

<p>HIIi im jooni and im goin to la in the fall i applied for a double in residence hall and i already have a roomate umm i am undeclared but i kno im going to try to do predental...its gonna be hard but yah also in honors program...VERY excitedd about ucla now...i was originally goin to berkeley but glad that that i switched back to ucla and umm i live in IRvine i go to University high school and umm that is about it haha</p>

<p>jooni, how do you know if you're in the honors program? I'm really confused 'cause I thought you had to apply for it even if you are invited to join the honors program on your acceptance letter. We're not suppose to find out until June 1?</p>
<p>The engineering open house was ok. I was surprised to find out that there were only 20 ppl in the room.</p>
<p>futurecalgirl yah i applied but i think anyone who sent in a decent essay got in..i think as long as u didn't write somethign about wanting to research how to kill people with atomic bombs then u got in lol ...i heard the essay is juss to make sure the ppl who were qualified weren't too crazyy hahaha so im sure ure in also if you wrote ure essay on time</p>
