So I am entering college this fall, not sure where yet, and I am asking for advice for those in either their junior/senior year of college or those in med school! What should I do to be on the right path towards medical school besides grades etc?

If possible, can you lay out a timeline like:
"Freshmen year: Find internships etc."

Thanks!

& What should I do this summer to occupy my time??

Talk to current pre-meds and pre-med advisor at YOUR COLLEGE. They will be the best sources to let you know what specifically is available at your college. It is very different from place to palce.
As far as summers go, make sure whatever you do, SPEND TIME WITH YOUR FRIENDS and do other relaxing things, like travel…etc. You will have NO TIME doing anything of outside interests while in Med. School. You will be very sorry if you miss these opportunities while in UG.
If you manage to come accross ANY job, it would be great. However, D. could not find anything outside of her college. She worked for 3 years while in UG but only during school year. She did all of her major ECs during school year, few volunteering in summers, nothing major though, very hard to get into in our hometown.

…this summer just relax, do nothing, nothing at all, sleep until 2pm, spend time with friends. seat by the pool

alright, thank you.
