Incoming Freshmen Trying to find a Place to Live?

This new private residence hall has been in construction and it looks like it is going to be completely awesome. I'm jealous.

Welcome to Presby Hall

I stopped by their sample room and the furniture was ridiculously nice, and the floor plans are awesome.

The prices aren't listed anywhere but I'm guessing its pretty expensive. If you are thinking about living in IT, I would say screw that and go with Presby hall. IT is 2 bedroom 1 bath for 4 people, compared to 6 bedroom 2 bath for 6 people at Presby.

Don't forget the awesome proximity to the bars so you don't have to walk your drunk ass all the way back to the six pack.

Rent will range from $760 a month to $960 a month depending if a student lives in a single or double room and a five or six-person suite.

Presby Hall construction nears completion - News

That's pretty expensive compared to $600 for the other private housing. When I was a student at UIUC, I shared a 4 BR house a block from Siebel with 3 other guys for $250 a month!

My friend at IT just told me she pays 5525/semester including the meal plan. If you are at school 4 months per semester, thats 3840 for the 960/month... i double they are factoring in a meal plan though.

Green Street Towers is like $575/month plus utilities and is pretty much the apartment version of Presby hall.
