I just got an email from Duke saying my app is incomplete and to sign into the D to see what is missing. I log in and everything is clicked received but optional artistic material is red. I wasn't planning on submitting any. What should I do?! Call them tomorrow, or are other's getting this email?

The Artistic Material is optional, but when you were filling out your application, you marked that you will submit artistic material when you really weren't going to (why, I don't know). Now, it has become a required part of your application. Just call Duke up and tell them you won't be submitting the artistic supplement.

you arent getting the email coz the arts supplements is missing..there shud be sum prob with the docs u submitted...

as they always say,The Artistic Material is optional, and wont affect ur application officially

SM

I have a similar problem, but instead the website says they have not recieved any parts of my application. However, I have recieved e-mails from Duke saying that they have recieved some of these parts (the pre-application, for example). I don't understand why there is a discrepancy between the e-mails and the website.

bestwestin--the smae thing happened w/ me on the Duke websitem, until i entered the access code they sent me via snail mail. Unitl I entered it, the application checklist didn't register any of the application components, but after, it registered all of them. Have you tried this yet?

no, I haven't. I'll try that. Thanks
