"Incomplete" grade on official transcript

Because of personal circumstances, I was not able to take the final exam for one class. My professor gave me an "Incomplete" for my grade which means I have to make up that final within one year. The catch is, is that I need to submit official transcripts to UCLA by July 15 and my professor is out of town until after that date.

How would an "I" look on my official transcript? Will my application be rescinded?

I would take that exam ASAP before that incomplete translates into a failing grade.

i would but i have to send my transcript in before I am able to take the exam

be sure to include a note or somehow let the admissions office know that you'll be taking that test. A transcript with an I and no explanation is gonna be bad, especially since it seems like the UCs have no problem rescinding acceptances.

how would you compare the rescind rate of UCLA and USC?

money, I would think you might get more "UC insight" by posting the question in our new UC subforum for transfers. I can move this thread for you. Or you might want to leave it here as well, for viewpoints of folks not focused solely on the UC's. If that is the case, you might want to start a similar thread there.

thanks i'll do that, though I expect most people who read the UC subforum also read the transfer forum as well.
