There have been a lot of threads about retaking the SAT. I called U.Penn and they said they do not recommend it. I asked what would happen if I retook them and they said that no matter how much improvement there might be, they will look at the date you took them. I think that you should deff. give it a try with the current SAT score you have now. The SAT shows college readiness. Obtaining a 4.0 at Drexel definitely proves that your SAT score means nothing.

Not that unique. What kinds of classes did you take? If you took hard classes, like the upper level ones too, you have a good shot at any university. Since their acceptance rates are so low, don't take it personally if you do not get in because they have to choose from a very qualified pool of applicants.

I would suggest applying to a bunch of LACs because these receive less applications and thus will be able to focus on your app more because it will stand out more there than it will at say Penn where they get almost 2000 applicants.

Great news! I received my decision from Penn yesterday, and I have been accepted. Thank you to everyone who kindly assisted me, and even to the two people that doubted me because of my mediocre high school statistics. ;)
