informal survey: which school is better in your opinion?

Berkeley - Regents and Chancellor's; Bioengineering
-prestige, money = yay!, good engineering program
-cutthroat competition, you have to be sure what major you want and can be wishy washy

Harvey Mudd - bio, 10,000 a year (pretty much nothing)
-smaller school, learn a lot without weeder classes
-kinda limited to something in engineering (in case i discover engineering isnt really want i wanna do), claustaphobic, too close to home

Duke
-prestige, relaxed, i can waive all my ap's, it has a forest on campus!
-cold, snobby stereotype

well i do think it is really pretty and i do like the whole idea of the small college where all the professors know your name and stuff its just im scared ill be claustrophobic once i get there

There are fairly different. Also, you could consider the surrounding locations, and the other four Claremonts and the options they open up within majors. You will have to take a massive science core, though.

Cutthroat seems exaggerated, and you don't have to be sure- there's some space to move, especially within Letters and Sciences.

Does Harvey Mudd not have difficult grading? This doesn't make it look like it's that low, but do they not give many F's or something?
