<p>Most of the time that I hear about independant study its usually about science research. Well I was wondering whether anyone has any ideas for an independant study project related to humanities, history, politics, writing, international politics, social studies, etc. </p>
<p>Has anyone ever had any experiences with this?</p>
<p>i'm doing an independent study on fourth-level latin this year (not a course offered at my school) and it seems fine to me; i think it really depends on your school, but make sure that you have the wherewithal to do a ton of reading on your own with something less objective than science research.</p>
<p>Latin is definitely a nice idea. I've been interested in learning it, among other languages. How do you prepare? Like what books specifically do you use?</p>
<p>Any other ideas?</p>
