indian for mites

am i minority?

also what exactly does it take to get accepted? sat-wise? EC's? essay?

thanks

hahahaha......uh NO!!

well you are technically a MINORITY....but you aren't very UNDERREPRESENTED....are you??

lol how many brown ppl do you see in math/science/technology??

no chance for me?

You definitely have a chance. I would say just apply, worst case scenario you don't get in. A couple asian people got in this year, so MITES isn't closed to asians or anything like that. Check out the MITES 2008 thread.

By the way, that original poster who was told he/she had no chance was admitted.

^I'm with rosee. Definitely apply, and even if you don't get it, you may get an awesome weekend at MIT for the junior fly-in : ) Don't count yourself out.

i bet those asians that get accepted are either first generation college students or their parents run under-the-table businesses so they can say that they have zero income and are really poor.

if you look at the op of that other thread, their family income was less than $50,000...

not trying to shoot you down, apply if you want....but i'm just trying to be realistic/practical. asians are not URMs by virtue of the fact that they're asian.
