Indian International Applicant!

Hi. I am an international applicant from India and I'd love it if you could help me get an insight on whether I have a decent chance of getting into the colleges I have applied to. I have read all the college profiles and compared them to mine but the statistics are mostly for domestic students. I have applied for Economics within the Liberal Arts and Sciences schools in all of the colleges. Feel free to post a link to your chance threads. Even though I'm no expert I can still give you an opinion. If any sort of information I should have provided in the thread is missing, please tell me. Thank you. Also, I already got accepted into University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign but the universities I have listed are all better.

Colleges:
Carnegie Mellon University
Cornell University

No financial aid.

@aniruddhc
Thank you.
UCLA’s probably the university where I have a fair chance of getting in then.

@aniruddhc
Can you please not leave me in the dark by a Match/Reach.
Are NYU and CMU really a reach or a match?

SATs are too weak for CMU.

Since you’re not asking for FA, you might just be able to get into Berkeley since they’re kind of short of money now.

:) not asking for financial aid is a major plus, since most colleges want diversity which an international gives and if he can afford himself then there’s nothing better… so you will get into some of your reaches as well

@Speedyz
Would you say getting into Liberal Arts Colleges is easier as an international student not applying for Financial Aid?

Also, my interview with Middlebury went really well.
Does giving an interview really matter?
Will it decrease my chances of getting into college?

yeah since they need the diversity and they need the money… so yeah I’d say you have a pretty good shot :)

Hello. fellow indian and musican here.
