Indian international student-Harvard chances?

@anotherdude my cgpa is 10/10 though :slight_smile:
and thanks for the assessment.

Yup! My essay was about my experiences with compering/ anchoring with TANA as well as in India.

But, I do not think that one should go to a university just for its name. Obviously as Indians we are taught to think that way (name & prestige make up oneā€™s whole life), however, one can end up with a better career by going to the school which is good for her major. For example, I want my major to be computer engineering. If you google top undergrad schools for comp. eng., Harvard is not one of the top 10 ones. GA Tech is #6. GA Tech is not as internationally renowned as Harvard/Stanford, but it is not a low - ranked state university. You get what I mean rightā€¦ Anyways, my choice of applying to GA Tech was also influenced by a bunch of different thingsā€¦but I just gave a generic example.Your choice of school also depends on personal preferenceā€¦But, if your only aim is to study in the USA, do not only apply to top notch schools like Harvard, MIT, Stanford etc. It is just not safe enough to do thatā€¦

btw. my mom is from Vizag tooā€¦

hey guys,iā€™m writing an essay about the personal conflict that engendered from being gay.would that hurt my chances?or it would it not make a difference?im aware that elite colleges have cesspools of leftist professors.but still,Iā€™m confused over what to do.whatā€™s your take?

Try not to use the phrase ā€œcesspools of leftist professorsā€ anywhere in your app.
