Indian percentage into American GPA

I am currently in 12th grade.

I scored about 94 or 93% in 9th grade
9.2 GPA out of 10 in 10th grade
80% in 11th grade
Telangana state board

I want to know my CGPA in 4.0 scale
I am asking this for self-evaluation purposes. Any college didn’t ask me for this

an 80% is a 3.0 GPA on 4.0 Scale.

They way you convert is :

(Percentage Divided by 20 ) minus 1.0 = American GPA.

Therefore , (80/20) - 1.0 = 3.0 gpa. !

Congrats on securing these marks !

I am sure this not the way they evaluate cbse scores

@MrAccountant Do you think these are good marks!!!
I think these are bad. Very very bad

As insitium stated , they will not evaluate your cbse scores In the terms of percentage .I am actually beginning to feel that CBSE students are getting an advantage as I have seen students with 9 & 8 cgpa getting into ivies and UC Berkeley . I have also read that some schools do not give a damn about CBSE either because they do not trust it or they do not want to make evaluation based on rote learning (which is kind of true ) . At the end of the day just apply to a handful of reaches and safeties . Unlike everybody else , I believe being an international student does not guarantee you admission anywhere :stuck_out_tongue:
