<p>Yeah....yesterday everyone was talking about the quake and floods...and suddenly i jumped up reading the news scrolling at the bottom of the screen " Bangladesh finally won....i thought that only pakis can lose to them ... ;) "</p>
<p>Well the quake was tooo devastating..8.9...has everyone heard it before...i thought that it was a 1-9 scale....poor me....and the death toll wont settle anywhere less than 15-20k i suppose....cos the TV is only showing the number dead...not those missing...and we cant say anything about the number of tourists and fishermen..<br>
After all this technology ...we are nothing for the forces of nature... i still wonder do we deserve the pride we take in technological advancements...i was just going through a book of relics...many advanced nations/super powers of their times disappeared in a single night...the re-discovered ruins show how beautigul and detailed the architecture was even more than 6000 years ago...our villages or old castles arent even a match for them....we got to go a long way guys!!!</p>

<p>yeah. We never should underestimate the power of nature, and we take nature so much for granted. The earthquake was caused by a vertical shift in a tectonic plate by 10 meters! A mass of earth the size of australia collapsing 10 meters! its crazy to even think of it. well cres, the whole thing abt technology being so advanced is total BS. they cudnt even warn the people within 2 hours of the quake. thousands cud have been saved if we had a better communications system...and we call ourselves "advanced" ...pssh...</p>

Its more important to quit playing the blame game and get relief across to the victims fast...</p>
