<p>Ok... 31st December. Now I have to do: a why for Brown (started), Vassar (no clue), Swat (some clue), Lehigh (umm). And Yale activities essay. I think I'll send Monday and not adhere to the deadline. That's me. I live on the edge :D But then I'll speed post and they say that gets there in 3-4 days so I'll be okay, won't I? Tell me I'll be okay.</p>

<p>hello - yes. Just make sure that before you hit submit, you remove the colleges that you dont want to send to and SAVE IT. ensure that you save after removing the college.</p>

<p>astrix, i believe that your mail has to be 'postmarked' 1/1 - and if u send it on tuesday it will be postmarked 1/4 ... so it depends on how much risk u want to take. I assume that you are submitting all your apps online and just sending the reco. and stuff in the mail, isn't it?
coz if u doing online - then you have to do it by the EOD 1/1</p>

a. I would atleast send those apps that are ready
b. try to do it online. its cheaper, faster and the 'preferred' method by many schools</p>

<p>but most on monday. vassar says they're cool as long as it gets to them by jan 14, even though the deadline is jan 1.</p>
<p>i personally think mailing is more flexible. i couldnt possibly have submitted princeton on nov 2 otherwise. and if you tell me i got deferred because of that, i say "screw you!". hehe.</p>

<p>my reasons for doing paper:</p>

<li>i can make my apps look pretty and professional. yeah, with adobe pro.</li>
<li>no character limits. i can actually make a decent EC list. this matters to me, because i'm not sending a resume.</li>
<li>flexibility as far as deadlines go.</li>

<p>astrix - u do realize tht our apps are opened, read and summarized by students before the summary gets to the admission officer, right?
if u are stretched for time, i would suggest tht dont spend a single minute on trying to make it pretty. This is the sequence of flow of our apps</p>
<p>a. Students - get all info, open reco, transcripts etc. and file it. make sure that your file is complete
b. Asst. Director - read all info, summarize it (most of these ppl are fresh graduates about 21-22 years old. Atleast those that I have met with - UoC, Cornell, Harvard, Duke, Georgetown, MIT, etc)
c. Admission committee - read the summaries</p>

MIT essay - nearly Done
Common app - ^same
Optional Common app - my Stanford Essay
Princeton - gonna recycle
Yale - Activity one left
Duke, CMU, Cornell & Princeton - Why Engineering still left!
