thx merc
i'll chk it out toms

Caltech applicants - on page 2 (online) did you all put anything in remarks below the courses??

guys - last day for this application crap. Azaadi after today. Good luck and lets keep those beers cold ;)

adides: I put remarks.
Azaadi? I dont think so. Finaid forms still left. Plus mega deferral reversal scheme....

its azaadi of course...azaadi from the peace and harmony that was in my life till now...and this azaadi will last till april

lol...and what if we all get rejected?
(sorry for the pessismism but frankly cant help it)

oh well. im gettin myself prepared for it now itself. w. a 1350 i hardly stand a chance...the only hook i have is my company and some decent research - nothing more. u got a frikkin 1600 - no doubt ur gettin in sucha! maybe the rest of us will receive the thin envelopes that say: "We are sorry to inform you that you will be unable to join us this fall..."

azaadi, actually it ends tommorrow, I'll run out of excuses for not studying :o

so, i've decided to send tomorrow...

callthecops I have neither a company nor any research nor any kind of hook.
Add mediocre grades to that and they'll think the 1600's a fluke (which it probably was)

oh and sucharita is so right.

first you meet jan 1 deadlines (or dont). then you meet jan 15-20 deadlines. then you meet finaid deadlines. then you work on deferral reversal. your preboards determine the mid-year. it doesn't end.

I got an interview for Princeton!! It's next Sunday, with some IAS officer. Google is scaring me...

Are you sure the postoffice will be open tomorrow? I'm already late.... I'm banking on it being open tomorrow

I think it's open but for less time. Anyhow, I'll be more than happy to get the extra time if it's closed tomorrow :p

My father's paranoid and that's why I'm sending tomorrow. Me, I live on the edge ;)

astrix convinced me to apply.

They require one of:

ACT

SAT I and SAT II Writing

SAT II Writing + 2 more SAT IIs

Does it make any sense to send my 600V 650M ( ) ? It falls between their mid 50 percentile though.... or should I rather send them just my SAT IIs (710 wr, 730 ph BUT 640 math).

I'll most certainly send the ACT score (dont have it yet though).....which is my "doobte ko tinke ka sahara"

Any suggestions?

If you send your SAT scores, where do you indicate you want option 2 or 3? There's no supplement.

Okay, I guess you could just not list on the app. Hmm..?

Yeah I'll modify the common app and NOT include SAT 1 scores...

God - it didnt take too long to make me realize that 'azaadi' is a flawed idea. Question for you all. For fin aid. is there any other college except for Cornell, Dartmouth and Carnegie Mellon requires the apps to be postmarked 1/1

midd, if you're applying there. and uoc, but you've gotten in there.

midd = middlebury?? (not applyin) Thanks astrix
For middlebury - those who are still writing the essay fyi
Middlebury had a President, McCardell, for a long time and he was the reason behind bringing the school to the forefront. He retired last summer, but people still LOVE him. Not many intl applicants know this, but it is my belief that if u even have a small mention of it in ur essay - they will know that you have done ur research and love the uni. (McCardell's son used to work for my bro ;) first hand info...
