i am especially irritated about this perception that ppl going abroad are "takin the easier way out"
really irritates me when ppl say that
no one told these ppl to study for the HSC anyways- just that we were smart enough (not rich enough, as in common perception) to decide to go abroad and they weren't ,right?</p>

<p>99% i am going...coz i have admissions in decent colleges...but even if i was 100%, i would still study coz thts the way i am - i dont leave nothing on the table...@ the end of the day, i always know tht i put in 110% of myself and could not have done ne better.... some ppl think its idiotic, but to me its about self-satisfaction...
having said tht, i also party the hardest...so its not tht bad</p>

<p>lol this is what sucks about US educational system. You bust you ass for 1.5 years and then you have a semester where you can do nothing and still go to college ( nothing = average = 80's). Bah out of so many people in the us applying to colleges 50,000 are doing the IB program one which of them is me and we actually have exams that we need to study for! ( I am not belittling boards which is probably lot more important ). But the atmosphere around here is soo lethargic and depressing...........</p>
