I have recently applied to Indiana University and was wondering what my chances of getting in are. I am from Texas if that helps at all?
My GPA is 3.00 flat
ACT-29
3 AP classes
90+hours of community service
Capitan and MVP of the track team
Took a one week leadership class at Yale university.
I have been told by many people that I will be fine, but after looking at their requirements I don’t know what to think. IU is my #1 as well.
The real question, can your parents afford to pay triple the tuition to go out of state? Unless there’s a $200k wad of cash lying around, the answer is probably no. You have plenty of options in Texas.
Coolguy40. Although I know that it is expensive I have been blessed with a wealthy family background. My step brother is a junior at IU this year and had roughly the same grades.
Your GPA is a little low. But I would say if your course load has enough rigor, you should be ok. This is mostly because of your stated family ability to pay the higher out of state tuition. Unfortunately, an in-state kid with the same stats might not fair as well.
Hello! I have taken 4 AP courses and 2 Honors courses. I also attend a private school if that says something about the rigor. My grades were really bad sophomore year and I had to work very hard my junior year to improve my gpa to above a 3.0.
