Hey
I am a rising senior and i am stuck between 2 schools:
Indiana and Ohio State
I am probobly going to major in International Studies and/or Middle Eastern Studies and both schools have similar programs in each of those 2 areas.

Considering factors such as: (in no particular order)
-Overal Academic Program
-Campus Aesthetics
-Grad School/Job Placement
-Social Life etc

What would be a better choice ?
Thanks

The schools are very similar, both big public schools in the Big Ten conference. Both have similar overall reputations, I would say academics and grad school placement, social life are all a wash. They are big party schools with big emphasis on athletics (OSU has one of the nation's top 5 athletic departments, Indiana is a top 25 athletic department).

There are 2 differences that I can note. First is in the OOS population. Indiana is around 40% out-of-state, Ohio State is less than half that number. Secondly, Ohio State is located in a large city (Columbus, population over 500,000) whereas Indiana is in a small college town (Bloomington, population 50-75,000). Indiana does have a very nice campus too.

If there is a difference in finances, i'd go to the school that is cheaper. That would likely be the deciding factor in the schools.

thanks for the advice A2Wolves6
finances however is not a problem, so it is up to the program and the school itself.
seeing as you are an indiana student, do you know anything about the Middle Eastern Studies or International Studies programs at UI-B ?
thanks
