Indiana U. vs. Purdue U.

Hey, I'm planning to eventually become an Investment Banker. I need some help. Which undergraduate school has the "best" business program in your opinion? Whatever school I pick out of these two will be my undergrad and grad school for my MBA and Ph.D., so this is really important. I need an honest answer.

-Thanks, I appreciate it... BTW: (Or do you reccommend Villanova) (for corporate finance)

In most cases, I would recommend IU over Purdue. Purdue is a good university to be sure, but it specializes primarily in the hard sciences like Engineering, CS and Physics, as well as in Agriculture. Although Purdue's B-School (Krannert) is respected, it is more of a hunting ground for heavy Operations/Production and Supply Chain recruiters.

So if you are interested in IB, I would recommend IU over Purdue.

Clearly Indiana U.

why does it have to be you undergrad as well as graduate school for mba and phd? And why in the world are you planning on becoming a ibanker and getting a MBA along...with a PHD

I would put Villanova on the same level as indiana in terms of ibanking recruitment

Nova is nowhere near IU in terms of Ibanking. IU is better than Purdue in Business.

maybe you should check again and look beyond the hype you see everywhere else on this board. Look at how many the bb banks took from nova compared to indiana. Indiana has more banks, a large majority of those being regional. But nova still sends more to bulge brackets. And IU is better in certain ASPECTS of business, IU and Purdue have totally different programs with different goals. Purdue's engineering prowess leaks over into their business program, something you can hardly say about IU.

Both are great Big 10 Schools. Purdue is famed for its engineering; Indiana Kelly
