Hi guys
Ok here’s my situation
I am going to college next year and I have to choose between those two school. I got a scholarship on both so money is not a problem. My intended major is engineering
So, can everybody compare these two schools for me? Be as detailed as possible about everything that you think make up a good school please
My current inclination is Indiana Uni -Purdue Uni Fort Wayne, mainly for the reason that it belongs to the Purdue University system, which is a very good school, and its degree is the same as that offered in Purdue University. However, I still have concern over it being a satellite campus. So is this a sound reasoning? Is it a good(better) school as itself?
Thank you for reading and answering
sorry I’m moving this out to College Search & Selection forum so could somebody tell me how to delete this?
I think IPFW needs you to maintain a 3.5 in order to keep their top scholarship.
Mississippi state requires a 3.0.
This is not even a contest, unless you’re planning to commute or are looking at something other than the Chancellor’s scholarship.
I don’t think there’s anything particularly wrong with IPFW, but I wouldn’t pick it because it had “Purdue” in the name. I
Sometimes IUPUI grads, 20 - 30 years later are proud that they went to IUPUI, but others state every so often that “it’s really a Purdue degree.”
Those guys should have gone to West Lafayette, because they’ll never convince themselves it really is the same. That’s a shame.
The other guys, the ones who accept IUPUI for being IUPUI, they’re actually pretty satisfied with what they have.
That’s a very good thing.
Mississippi State, unless you have geographic preferences.
These satellite Purdue campuses have little in common with the West Lafayette campus. Unless you can transfer to the flagship campus, you are better off at MSU if you can fit in culturally.
