transferring for business

how does transferring from a differnent school work to kelley. do i have to do a semester in the regular college?

<a href="http://www.kelley.iu.edu/UGrad/admission/apply.cfm%5B/url%5D">http://www.kelley.iu.edu/UGrad/admission/apply.cfm</a></p>

You have to apply to the general school first. Then you can apply for Spring or Fall admission to the B-School. It's not too competitive, however, admissions standards are higher for transfers as there is less space than there is for freshmen.

but do i have to do one sememster in the general college first?

"Transfer students are eligible to apply for business admission during their first two semesters on campus. They must complete a minimum of one semester on the Bloomington campus and all business admission courses found under Option I. "

Was found from the link A2Wolves6 provided. Does anyone know how hard it is to transfer into Kelly as a transfer into IU? I would hate to get accepted to IU, and find that I could not attend Kelly...

It's really not hard, they have a TON of spots, it's one of the largest UG business schools in the country. As long as you have a 3.0, you're pretty much guaranteed admission (and a lot of the students need to keep their 3.0 anyways for scholarships).

Wow, thanks for the reassuring reply! I am deff. going to apply next year (for fall 07) and Indiana keeps looking better and better. Just in case, A2Wolves6 are you speaking from experience? Not second guessing you, just want to know your circumstance.

Also, in your opinion, how hard is it to transfer into Indiana - Bloomington? What kind of crudentails are they looking for? (If you could give a baseline, that would be great!) Any advice you can give to a possible transfer? Thanks in advance!

No, i'm an incoming freshman this year. The info i'm going off of is from what Kelley reps have told me and what admissions reps have told me. They have a very high acceptance rates for internal transfers, and state that if you have a 3.0 or higher, you're basically admitted.

How hard is it to get in to IU in general though?

Get above a 3.0 and above a 22 and you should be in.

If i transfer in as a sophmore first semester to indiana then i have to use option 2 to transfer to kelley right?
