Indiana University Bloomington or Purdue University?

I plan on majoring in financial management in hopes of forming a career as a financial manager. Which school should I go to? I have received direct admission to the Kelley school of business. I haven’t heard from Purdue yet.

I have heard that Kelley is very good. What would make you not want to go there?

@citymama9 I plan on majoring in financial management and Purdue it seems like has a specific major for financial management whereas Kelley only has a major in finance. I’m not sure if that would have any difference in finding a job as a financial manager. Maybe you could give me some advice?

Krannert School of Business at Purdue is good . . . is that where the financial management major is located?

Purdue is a nice campus - land-grant type university. A bit more of the #nerdherd vibe. IU is more the bucolic college campus, at least it seemed to me. More liberal arts, etc. I always loved the buildings at IU (limestone?). Purdue is more brick. Kelley at IU has a great reputation. Purdue is further north and slightly colder imho. Bloomington is a pretty little place that looks more southern than Indiana. JMO.

Both schools are fine. I’m not sure how important it is to differentiate between financial management and finance. You may need to do more research and then just get a feel for which school suits you better.

I’m no expert, but Kelley now has a nationally recognised (by employers) undergrad business school. I would go to Kelley unless there is something specifically to Purdue University (location, finances, etc.) that you prefer.
