Indiana University - Class of 2019 Acceptances

Yes I got my acceptance letter in September

Yes, I finished the application at worst within two weeks of it opening. I received by decision 9/16.

@hoosiernation10, sorry - I missed in your first post that you were accepted in September. Unfortunately, I assume that if you didn’t hear anything, you did not meet the cutoff for automatic or selective merit scholarships. You may want to check out this site, and look for any department-specific scholarships that you may qualify for.

General Comments: I did not put a huge amount of effort into this just because I consider it as a backup. Literally submitted my app an hour before the deadline. If your scores are not the best, make sure you stand out into your essays. A teacher of mine who was a college admissions officer said that the ones who stood out were the ones that broke out of the very structured way of doing essays and made them more personal. Don’t say thing you think they want to hear, be yourself.

Submitted my app October 31st, received reply November 17th. A friend of mine waited 3 months for her reply. Just depends I guess.

I really hope to hear back from IU soon. It’s my second choice

What do you think will the status be if we have a score of 1230 in math and cr where as it has to be 1270. But all the other criteria including GPA are very good. And also all my documentation was completed on February 10th. When can I expect a decision.

Is that a direct admit to the the Kelley?

In order to become a direct admit one must have a 1270 and a gpa of 3.7 or higher. Petitioning was available if either test scores or gpa were higher than required, but the other criteria was lower. Petitioning closed in December.

My son received and email today informing him that he has been accepted. He applied for early action and was deferred in January. IU wanted his semester grades.

Is anybody else going for the standard route to Kelley?

My son also got accepted today, but not sure whether direct admit to Kelley, submitted jan 15

Anyone heard when Selective Scholarship recipients will be notified?

Accepted - Pre-Business (International Applicant)

  • GPA: 3.4W
  • SAT: 1690 (540 CR, 540 M, 610 W)

So you are going for the standard admission to Kelley @gildedoldies‌

I got accepted into IUB on January 6th, but I am not sure whether is directly to Kelley School of Business or not.
How can I check it? I applied for Finance BSB, and that’s what my iStart report.

@Luigi0928‌ you need 1270 in CR + Quant. And 3.7 GPA .

@ParNeel‌ I got 1180 in one seat and 1210 as superscore, does it mean that I didn’t get into Kelley? My GPA is 4.0 on the 4.7 scale.

@Luigi0928‌ you could have petitioned but it closed in december. So I would say you didn’t meet Kelley’s requirements
