I am looking to eventually do something in investments. So which would be better direct admission to IU's business school as a Finance major or Northwestern as an Economics major (as far as starting salaries, job oportunities, internship oportunities, etc...) ?

northwestern... thats a no-brainer :)

If you are talking about grad school, dont count out Indiana. the kelly school is amazing, i believe its top ten. but when looking at undergrad and also grad, northwestern is superior....that is if you can get in

Northwestern, in a heartbeat.

Northwestern of course.

How about McIntire vs. Northwestern?

a tie, I'd say.

any other opinions about UVa or Northwestern for business?

Just remember that business schoool is preprofessional and comparing an undregrad econ degree isn't so easy. As for jobs right away? I'd say business school of any sort. Look around on this site it is filled with info.

id recommend michigan ross over UVa mcintire

I guess I'd say that Ross has a slight edge, but is it really consequential in terms of job opportunities?

Yes the there also is a slight edge in job opportunities but nothing to be worried about. You can't really discriminate between them but ross is still slightly above.

very very slightly.

we UVa Wahoos not only have WASPy connection, we've got the southern boy network as well.

choosing between michigan and uva based on undergraduate business programs is stupid. they are very different schools, go visit and you'll know.
