I was already accepted preferred admit to Ross....but taking for granted I would be accepted to mcintire after sophomore year, which business school is better and why? Someone please sell me on one.

UVA is better, IMO.

But you should go for the school of best fit.

College_bound, do you really think their is a difference between schools ranked within 3 or 4 spots of each other?

Thakid, Ross and McIntire are both excellent. Ross is ranked #3 according to the USNWR and #5 according to BW. McIntire is ranked #9 according to USNWR and #2 according to BW. In short, both are considered elite undergraduate programs.

Generally speaking, when chosing between those two amazing programs, I would recommend fit, as they are significantly different in terms of environment and cuture. But the tie-breaker here would be the fact that you are pre-admitted into Ross. UVa would be a slight risk. Don't play with fire, go to Ross.

BW has BYU ahead of Stern... and that's only one oddity. I'm not saying UVA is not great, but that BW calculates their rankings in ways that have some schools way out of priority. Both are highly ranked, but quite different programs.

The BBA preferred admit program is absolutely amazing. You will get individualized attention from day one, top notch advising and events/speakers beginning in your freshmen year. Also, you will be the first class to spend all three years in the B-School at the new facility, which will be the best facility in the country. Check out the architectual drawings and features of the new facility on the website.

Ross and McIntire are probably the two hardest schools to choose among. At this point, it is all about it. Cliche but true. Placement is pretty much the same.
