Industrial Technology....what is this?

Okay, this is my first post, and I'm sorry if this degree isn't considered part of engineering. If a mod could move it to the appropriate section then that would be great.

So... I am a freshman in university, and currently undeclared. I am looking into a BS in Industrial Technology, Concentration in Computer Electronics and Network Technology.

I'm just a little worried about what kind of jobs this can get me, since I'm clueless. If it helps, I live in the Silicon Valley, and I hear the job market is good here for jobs related to this major. Can anyone tell me what you know about this degree?

What is the school?

san jose state university. although i don’t see why you needed to know that…

It’s nice to know the school because different schools have different names for their degrees.

Taking a quick glance at the curriculum, that isn’t an engineering degree. Do you have a career center? They might have placement rates for that major.
