If those art history and drama courses were college courses, then it is very likely that either one fulfills the visual or performing art requirement for CSU (and UC) admission.
Look up the college at https://hs-articulation.ucop.edu/agcourselist to see if the course is listed as fulfilling the requirement, or check on http://www.assist.org to see if it is counted toward the IGETC area 3A category or CSU GE C1 category. See https://www.calstate.edu/sas/documents/admissionhandbook.pdf (page 17) for more information.
If the art history and drama were high school courses, why not take the second semester of one or both of these courses this year? There are also options of fulfilling the requirement through AP art scores.
If you attend a high school in California, it would be very negligent of the school and its counselors if it failed to inform you of the CSU and UC art requirement for frosh admission. Given the prominence of CSU and UC on the college radar in California, the college prep advice given the students in California high schools tends to have a significant focus on fulfilling the CSU and UC requirements.
