Info about rushing scores and sent scores?

Hi, I am an international student and I am a bit confused about the sending scores process. I took the November SAT I (it was my first sitting) and think opted for the score choice. However, when I got into "My Send Score History" it says that my scores were sent to my universities on November 21st. Are they already sent, or if I retake and score higher will this last score be considered?
On other hand, I am applying to Princeton and Columbia and want to boost my SAT I score on the January test. On the Princeton website it indicates that internationals should be done with their standardized testing by the December date "if possible". Columbia does not indicate anything about it. Can anyone tell me more about rushing my scores, and if I should do it? Because while doing research on internet I found out that I can only rush when my scores are available online, but then, what is the advantage? Arent the scores immediately sent once they are online?

Thankss

If it says scores were sent to colleges Nov 21, they have been sent. If you designated colleges as free sends for the Nov test the scores were sent to those colleges. You are probably wondering why the send date is Nov 21, before they were released to you on-line. That is because for those free sends, CB actually sends the scores a day or two before you even learn what they are. Princeton and Columbia accept Jan test as long as it arrives in time, i.e., before they have actually made a decision on you. The way to make that happen is designate the colleges as your free sends on the January test. They will actually get there faster than if you wait for score to come out and then rush.

Thanks for your answer! That makes the whole process clearer
