I noticed that the pinned Info for Incoming First-Years thread is from 2009 and there isn’t much more recent info there. Is there a thread with more up-to-date information for first-years?
That was from before UVA has a robust website with resources and to-do lists for incoming students. This should be helpful: http://orientation.virginia.edu/
Does UVA offers visiting tours and information session during summer months, no tour offered ont e website so far in summer?
Does anyone know if there is a self-guided tour at UVA? UNC and UCLA had one that you could download.
My son has now chosen UVA. He and I took the guided tour about a year ago. He doesn’t want to do DOTL since it’s more for undecided students. But my wife hasn’t been yet and we’d like to go down there on a weekend and take her around the campus. Would love to have a self guided tour that could help us navigate the campus.
Any help appreciated.
The session/tour reservations go up a month in advance. The no-show rate for people who make reservations further out is so high. One month out works.
The virtual tour link is on the main page. Admission.virginia.edu.
