Inform colleges that I am the val?

Hi.

I received my first class rank around October of last year saying that I was number 1 based on 3 years of HS. First semester of senior yr is over and ranks are finalized now, and I am still able to keep my rank. I am the sole val. Should I inform the colleges of this? I mentioned it in my applications before (they weren't final), but should I tell them now because it is final?

I don’t think it would hurt you

Okie. How should I word the email without sounding conceited in anyway?

Did your counselor send in the Semester Report for fall term? Ask her/hime if they included class rank and the number of people who hold that rank.

If the counselor did not send that info, yes, you should send it.
" I am writing to update my official rank. I am now ranked number 1, sole valedictorian. Thank you for updating my file…"

Yes she did but it was listed at the very bottom of the sheet o.o

I’d bet the colleges will see the confirmation of your rank even if it is on the bottom of the sheet. They are trained to look for all the info.

It makes sense for the latest information to be on the bottom of the sheet. They will find it.

doooo itttt.
