what's up with the "information contact meeting" stuff? are they itnerviews for Cornell? mine was sort of like an interview since she did ask me some questions... but not really, because for most of the time, i was just given pamphlets of cornell... i didn't really get a chance to talk about myself.

Hm. That's strange.

My interviewer gave me a lot of chances to ask questions but he also had his own set of questions to ask like "What's your family environment like?", "What do you do for fun or extracurriculars?"
We really went into depth with my extracurriculars and why I did them, how I started doing them, what do I hope to do with them and such. We also talked a lot of business in general...which then led to books I enjoy reading. (At least the business books.)
It was pretty even in who was sharing. Often times it's easy to connect with the experiences that he had with the ones I had in high school. I feel like I shared as much as I did for my evaluative interviews for my other schools. But maybe I'm just an anomaly...

yea i talked a lot about myself also... almost as if it were evaluative

There's a lot of debate to whether the interview was important of not on this website.
I wonder if they'd factor in interviews more if you lived in an area with more alumni.

My interviewer told me that their evaluations are basically not important. They really don't have much of a reason for interviews except to see who is this person who is applying to cornell.
