Did anyone recieve the information packet/mailing that they were going to send to students in May?

nope, just the confirmation of the deposit.

No. Still waiting (impatiently).

On campus day they said that information packets are sent on May 15, June 15, July 15....So I assume they'll send them out Monday and we'll have them by Wednesday.

Can't wait.

They are also usually posted online, so you might be able to see it before you get it by mail.

I got a big packet today. It's got a lot of stuff in it- medical info, course book, residence info, summer/outreach programs...

Okay, I'm offically racing home to my mailbox tomorrow. :) Here's a question for warblers and, really, whoever else knows: are we asked residence hall preferences, or do they just put us wherever?

There's a lot of information about housing and meal plans. It describes the residence halls (Bostwick and Johnson, Palmer and Piccolo, Collins, Babcock, and Luter), but I didn't see anything where you specifically requested a particular residence hall. They do ask a few questions, though, which help sort you, I think:

1) Do you smoke?
2) Do you object to a roommate who smokes?
3) Do you consider yourself a "messy" or "orderly" person to live with?
4) Do you prefer living on a "substance free" floor?
5) Do you normally go to bed before midnight on a weekday?
6) Will you consider your room a primary place to study?

Dangit! I got all excited and ran to the mailbox. There was a large packet, but it was filled with like order forms for bed linens. Argh.

Also, my mom found this link- they'll be posting online stuff here: http://www.wfu.edu/undergraduate_college/orientation/

nope, nothing today, hopefully tomorrow

Here is the housing and dining information packet on-line:

yaay got the package today, its got quite a bit of information :)

mine was stuck in the mailbox. seriously, i had to spend about three minutes pulling it out.

Question... if you're a semi-messy person but you don't want to be with a roomate who is consistently a slob, should you check "Orderly" in the housing survey? I'm not sure which one to check.

You don't get to choose your roommate or your dorm.
