Hey, I just had the chance recently to attend a couple of "information sessions" -- Yale's and Stanford's. We had to sign in when we got there, but do you guys think that these lists ever actually make it back to the admissions office when you apply? I.e. do the schools use it to see if you've shown interest, or would you think they just do it to guess how big of a room to book when they come in next year?

Schools like these care. It may not be a huge factor, but it is definitely a tip factor.

So do you think that it would be akin to visiting their campus?

Yes, the schools care. Many like to send a follow-up note to those in attendance.
