Information Systems vs Accounting

I'm trying to decide on a major. I'm only a junior, but I've already narrowed it down to these two. Most of my family majored in accounting, but I don't want that to be the reason I do it. I've never taken an Accounting course, but I'm taking Information Systems right now. Accounting doesn't really interest me...maybe I'm just making assumptions, though.

Which major would be better?

Well, you already missed the opportunity to apply for summer internships so you are kind of ****ed.

edit: accounting internships

Major in whatever is going to make you happy and that you have a strong interest in. If it’s not accounting, look at IS then.

In your first two years of undergraduate business school, you will have so many opportunities to discuss this with professionals, upperclassmen, and advisers. As long as you know you want to study business, you probably don’t need to stress too much about the specific major.

That’s also a nice part of going to a big, top undergraduate business program. They are usually elite in almost all the specialties, so you know you will be in a good program regardless of what major you choose.

Okay, thanks everyone, for the advice.

I guess I have to look into each major a little more before I officially decide.
