I'm truly having a hard time deciding on a career for myself. As a new student to this education system, I don't have much knowledge. I'm good at social sciences such as history, and am also pretty good at math. I'm dueling between engineering and business and accounting. Any suggestions, advice will be helpful, thank you

Hey Tanvir, I was like you and had trouble deciding on a major. I, like you like history and am decent at math. I chose on accounting and I am liking it.

If you don’t mind doing number crunching, then accounting may be for you. What I would suggest is you take an entry level accounting course, and see if you like it.

I wouldn’t suggest choosing business, because with an accounting degree you will have a much better degree, and will be able to get many of the same jobs General Business majors get.

For engineering, I am not sure but I would say that if you don’t go to a high-profile engineering school then stay away from it. It is a tough degree, and if you are up for the challenge then go for it.

Like I said, try accounting and see if you like it, that’s what I did.
