Information Technology vs. CS Minor for Accounting Major

I’m a student majoring in accounting with goals on entering the MAcc program. I plan to pass the CPA exam, enter a Big Four firm for a few years, and then eventually run my own CPA firm. With these goals in mind, which minor would be most beneficial: a minor in Information Technology or CS?

I was hoping someone else with a background in accounting would answer this. I can try.
This is the CS minor: http://www.cs.usc.edu/academics/undergrad/minor.htm
Please provide a link to the Information Technology minor.

Here’s Info tech link: http://itp.usc.edu/minors/Enterprise-Information-Systems/
I think the Enterprise Info. Systems minor would be better since accountants don’t need computer programming skills and is more focused on accounting technology.

I think you’re right.

The CS minor is twice the credits and will cover things you really don’t need. If you don’t have an interest in CS, I’d recommend against doing it.

The Enterprise Info. Systems is more applicable to the direction you want to go.

If you want to dip you toes in the water of computer programming, you could do a specialization such as Computer Programming http://itp.usc.edu/specializations/Computer-Programming/ You could consider this after your freshmen year when you get more guidance from counselors, professors, classmates, etc.

I’m favoring the Enterprise Info System minor more since it’s more suitable for an accountant, but I’ll ask for more advise before declaring the minor.
