Ink Cartridge

I am going off to college in a two days. I just wonder if there would be any use of color ink in college. In high school, sometimes, you would have creative, artsy projects, even in core subjects. I am going to get a printer and some ink, because the school I am going to charges money for printing sheets of paper, has few printers, and the computer lab/library is a far walking distance from my dorm. I also want a printer in my dorm, just in case.

Thanks.

I insisted on a color printer thinking of those stupid creative, artsy projects and never used it. I have had some projects to do that required visual aids but I have never not had the option of doing a powerpoint instead. In hindsight I need not have bothered.

I had one prof who posted slides online that were in color, and the way he did the backgrounds/text colors, you really couldn’t read them if you didn’t print them in color. I never printed out slides because it felt like a waste of paper/ink/money to me, but my friends who did “needed” color ink for the semester. That’s pretty uncommon, though. Lots of other profs posted slides online and all of theirs printed clearly enough in black and white.

I used color on maybe two things all year, and those weren’t school-related. You can definitely get away without a color printer.
