did anyone else here go to isef? wasnt it awesome??!!?? what was/were your favorate part(s)?

I went! I liked rawhide. I saw my biology teacher there (he was the one showing everyone how to squaredance or whatever, I'm local). I also liked Thursday since I ate a lot of food for free at nice places (RSI breakfast, MIT luncheon, dinner with local fair at some fancy french place). The worst part was definitely losing though.....:(

was everyone invited to the mit lunch thing? im pretty sure not everyone was sent an email (a few people i met didnt get an email and that room was NOT big enough for all 1400 finalists and their familys.) i was invited and i went, but i couldnt figure out what the qualifications for being invited were. i havent been to rsi and i am only a sophmore. maybe they invited me because i went to isef last year?

Hey! ISEF was awesome. I didn't really like the rodeo place b/c we had to wait forever for the buses...arrggh. One of my favorite parts was the MIT lunch, too. I'm a sophomore, but I didn't go to ISEF last year...hmmm, I don't know what the qualifications were. Maybe just a few people decided to come...

the food at the rodeo was good though! :-) i had the pleasure of eating that big stake in front of my vegitarian friend. :-) and eating 9 pieces of chicken at that other buffet dinner thing.

my favorate thing from isef this year:
i guess my friend and i (we had a team project) drank alot of water on judging day and we never threw away our water bottles (we just threw them under the table.) so on the day after judging when we were supposed to be staying at our project for public viewing we decided to collect them all from under the table and throw them away. well, as we were in the process of extracting no less than 19 bottles one of our judges from the day before came back to talk to us and was standing right behind us (unknown to us) and just watching in amusement! we were finally notifyed of his presence when he started laughing at us!

:-) ...and i suppose winning was great too. :-)

Learning about the Universe was cool too . . . Never saw so many relativity animations before.
