Hello,
I have a question about the intellectual vitality essay “reflect on an idea or experience that makes you excited about learning.”
I’m having a hard time connecting the essay back to my self. I can write about the topic just fine, but I don’t know how to incorporate what that shows about me. For example, if you were to write about reading or statistics or the stock market, how would you talk about yourself rather than just the topic. Is writing about why its interesting and its implications enough?
Thank you very much for all of your help!
Regarding statistics, for instance: Check out the movie with Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston from quite a few years ago, in which the main character was an insurance expert who knew the dire statistical risks of everything. Each statistical risk popped up in his awareness as an obstacle he had to overcome in order to impress the carefree, careless girl he was falling for.
To love is to live life with risk, was the movie’s message. He knew all the stats and took the big (for him) leaps anyway.
Something like that, maybe.
