How important is showing "interest" for getting accepted because I've heard Wash U makes a big deal about that, and unfortunately, I have not shown much interest, which I'm regretting SO much now. I do, however, really like the school, but as it's so far away, I can't really visit, and I don't think it's an "ivy" safety as it is one of my very top choices. So, how important is showing interest?

From what I haive heard from admissions officers and current students, showing interest is fairly important. Wash U truly wants students who want them. The real thing that Wash U does not want is the student who uses Wash U as a back up.

I have also heard that showing interest at WashU is extremely important and that they "love to be loved". However, I was accepted yesterday and I have never visited the campus. I live in MA so it is somewhat of a hike to get to St. Louis. I think that they understand, for the most part, if you can not go to the campus because of geography.

I really have no idea though, just speculation.

GOOD LUCK!!!

I think the opportunity to show interest without having to visit is through your interview...

Do an alumni interview, go to information sessions in your area, make sure you're on the mailing list, etc.
