Hello, it has always been my dream to study abroad at Cambridge University.
Currently, I am going into my junior year and my grades have been all A's in my freshmen and sophomore years.

I am a white, middle class male. I would consider myself an intellectual. I am constantly reading mainly nonfiction texts and some literature.

My high school has the IB program (international baccalaureate) and I would be planning on taking IB History, English, Math, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Systems, Spanish, and Biology.

My main interest would be in pre-med school.

Are these grades and characteristics enought to get into Cambridge? Am i wasting my time?

I would really appreciate some responses. Thanks.

No, you don't. But in the IB curriculum you are automatically qualified. US kids would have to take 5/6 APs and score fives/fours in order to meet minimum requirements.

do english schools really only look at academic record? because i just can't imagine that it's their sole basis. So many kids look similar if you judge them on their tests and grades.

just a side question/comment.... try not to overwork yourself with the IB classes... if they're all HL, Chem, Bio, Env. Sys., and Phys., then I would advise against those..... maybe limit yourself to 2 or 3 (I tried the whole science thing, and it totally killed me... no joke) with Group there and all, it would be CRAZY (btw, doesn't your school limit the number of HL's you can take? and what about fitting in TOK?, just asking, cuz you already have 8 listed....))

Yes, I forgot to add Theory of Knowledge and Psychology, those are both 12th grade IB courses. Besides Physics and Environmental Systems, I need one other science course for a higher level, either biology and chemistry and then the fourth science would be a standard level, i believe, in 12th grade.
