baystateresident who r u saying that to exactly?

hcos I agree with ur description

This would probably apply to all students, but Jyun has posted his weight, ethnic backround and other details that would make it easy to pick him out of a crowd. I would just be more careful.

My son is also being recruited by an ISL school and they do have a “silent period”. The coach reached out to us on 2/9 to inform us that under ISL rules, he was not allowed to have contact with us from 2/10 until the date when admissions decisions are sent out (on March 10).

Last year there was at least one recruited athlete who posted they had received a similar call from a coach, and they were not accepted. It was a female hockey player and I think the school was Exeter. So, don’t read to much into the call.

Oo o well I guess mY chances r still slum

Thanks Hookboy, for assuring me that I’m not going nuts.
Hcos: What you said jibes. They just aren’t supposed to initiate the contact.

To everyone: Hang in there. Some kids are lavished with attention and are rejected (others are not - so don’t worry there so much jyun ). Other kids don’t hear a peep and are accepted.

Let’s all put our crystal balls away and hang tight for the next two weeks.

Congrats, jyun! This is a good sign. Have any coaches been to your games and stuff?

pretty sure he is speaking of exeter if so im nervous cause it is by far my number one choice…im a dancer, not a sport recruit, but still.

what does said “Jibes” mean in this context

hey that what’s he told me nothing further

Sorry Hcos! I mean that your experience is in keeping with what I thought the policy meant. It makes sense, falls into place, flows with the rest.

My father always used that word with that meaning. I could have misused it.

no i just never heard it before yeah i just wanted to add some concrete evidence to the discussion. its no problem

I’d use jibes like that, or at least I’d know what you meant but most people probablly wouldn’t so I’m not trying to slight you or anything Hcos, just reassuring neato that as far asI’m aware she used the word correctly.

ohh, haha thanks! do you know if they include “HADES” schools? just wondering…

(that was in response to bruins’ answer)

I don’t think hades do they? Nd candidate maybe or maybe not haha

Orangey. Hades and ISL are separate except S.Paul’s is ISL. People at PA,PEA correspond how ever they think is appropriate. ISL is reactive to inquiries at this point

Jyun212 - it is a good sign. Enough said, please don’t tell anyone on his board which schools have been contacting you for sports. Too many muckrakers here if you know what I mean.

Yeah I don’t think I’ll mention which schools, just one of my fav called me. Sarum where is ur kid going to school?

sounds like a very good sign to me
