<p>I just received a phone call from the Dean of Admissions of a BS I'm applying to. I interviewed with her and she called me on our house phone. She left her number and she said that she "hoped I remembered her" and asked how my "adorable little sisters" are doing. She then said how they were reviewing applicants for March 10th decision and they came across me and thought I'd be a "perfect fit" for the school.</p>
<p>YAYAY! THIS IS A GRREATT SIGN, RIGHT??!?!?!</p>

Well, wow, personal follow up phone calls, great fit, complimenting family......thats practically a phone call saying you got in, except she mmost likely could not break the rules so she kep hinting at it. AWESOME!</p>
<p>YES!!! That is amazing that the Dean of students took the time to call you and tell you your a perfect match. That must mean your in. [[but don't quote me, I could be wrong, but I personally belive your in.]] Which school was it?</p>

<p>Congratulations! The Dean of Admissions would not have called you if you were not in. Note to others applying: I doubt that everyone who is in gets a call like this. In fact, I think it is unusual.</p>

<p>Congrats Crickett that sure is great news. Knock on wood. Personally, I think they do this to get you psyched for their school, visit their website a hundred times, imagining your self there. Because, they may feel that you will get accepted at other places. Psychological admissions tactic for lack of better words. They'll do this for someone they really want. Believe it or not but come March 10th the tables turn. Now they want you! They can't wait to hear from everyone. On revisits they put out the red carpet. The A/O are now anxious to see how they did. There is a method to their madness but it is not a perfect science. A lot is based on passed history and experience. Sometimes too many say yes and other times not enough. BS don't like having to turn the common room into a dorm room due to a lack of beds. I'm getting side tracked here. Congrats again, I think it's a sign of good things to come, again knock on wood!</p>
<p>nns91, don't worry about not being contacted, i have looked at this situation and here is my theory. say they accept 100 students. 50 of those students could be just what they need (crickett :P), and maybe 25 of those they don't want to slip away and go to other schools. it is probably those 25 that they contact. you could still be in the other 75. that is just my opinion, maybe not but that is how i figure it works. don't lose heart</p>
