Last night at 7 47 pm, well 10 47 pm in east coast I got a call from one of my top choices. He is a coach that works on admission and asked me if I had any questions about the school. (Note we have talked before, I thought this school was the least interested in me) He didn't exactly sell out the school but he mentioned the food, the amazing football program, and academics. (He is also a teacher from what I hear) He knew my application was complete and that I had "decent" test scores. He said he can't exactly tip the hat if I was in, but should I take this as agood sign. My parents think that I'm already into the school, if a coach/teacher/admission member contacts me at 11 pm their time to see how I'm doing and to discuss their schools.

PS- he also mentioned that I will be invited to the preseason. I asked if there is preseason. And although he didtn say anything about me being in, he said I will most definately be invited. Since the week is almost over should i take this a good sign?

haha i still am, idk. i said that i still have no clue if im getting in , my parents do. Im just asking if this should be taken as a good sign. 2010 i hope u can stop with the snideful remarks i really dont want to argue online

sorry if I came off “snideful” but you always post stuff about yourself that pretty much guarantees yourself a spot and ask for other’s opinions when you should know what is a good sign or not. Obviously if a coach calls to talk about preseason, it won’t be a bad sign.

My brain may very well just be fuzzy! I seem to remember reading last year reading something from one of the ISL schools not to be concerned if they seem “quiet” during that time because recruiting regulations of the ISL prohibited them from initiating contact, but that they would, of course, answer any questions.

I looked just now and couldn’t find it, so either I’m horribly confused or they have changed the policy (or both! )

ISL adheres to silent period including coaches. the other schools don’t have a pact although I think they try and keep it to a minimum. so 212 is getting quite a bit of attention.

orangeyorange. I don’t think I answered ur ? ISL is Independent School League which is something like 17 private day and boarding schools mostly around Boston with one in Rhode Island and one in Cow Hamshire.

I want to say this as nicely as possible, but I think you should be much, much more careful about what you post on this web site. You have given so many identifiable details that anyone going to a “HADES” game next year is going to know exactly who you are, your test scores etc.

ISL i was told by an ISL coach that it is not official that coaches cannot contact players it is done to even out the playing field for schools in recruiting athletes. However, you can call them or email them and that is fine. they just can’t call you or email you. over presidents day i went up to NE and had a sit down with the coach but i had to call him to initiate the meeting and training with a club program but he would talk with me about admissions for not only me or any of the other recruited players except that their apps were in.
