Interesting questions here

I am a junior right now in the crappy state of Florida, but anyway, and I want to go to the Wharton Buisness School at UPENN. Would it be smart for me to apply early for the College of Arts and Science and then transfer to Wharton? I ask this because Wharton is one of the most amazing buisness schools in the country and also one of the most selective and it might hurt a low 1300 SAT score kid like me to apply there.

i go to wharton and i would suggest just applying straight to wharton. if you apply to SAS and get in it is ridiculously hard to transfer to wharton!!! You have to have an amazing GPA, etc. Also you run the risk of possibly being classified as a "backdoor whartonite." This means that the adcom specifically looks for people applying to SAS or any of the other schools with the intent of transfering. Normally backdoor whartonites are quickly spotted and compared with the wharton students anyway and a lot of the time they are just flat out rejected. So have some courage and apply straight to wharton don't try to find the slacker way around things.

Thanks for your help burn...since you know about wharton students, can you give us an idea or their stats or your stats?

It's hard to really say. Once you're in college no one really talks about their SATs, GPA, stats, ECs. Occasionally someone might mention and EC they did but other than that I really couldn't tell you what to have. There really are not set criteria. The averages are on wharton's website for SATs and stuff. All I know is that I'm surrounded by a lot of brilliant students from around the world.

i guess if you want my stats I can post them.
