I have a 3.89 after completing 59 ( 53 at psu, 6 at a CC) credits at Smeal College of Business and Penn State's University Park Campus, I am technically a sophomore and I will be declaring as a finance major this winter. Although my essays were poor (710 math 540 reading) do I have any shot of getting into Wharton? How heavily will the look at my SATs?

come on somebody be honest with me, do they really care about incoming jrs SATS from 3 years prior

that's very little information so I'm going to assume that you don't have anything else important in your application.

No shot, sorry. Save the application fee and apply elsewhere

I live in Pennsylvania, I am Caucasian (both hurt me haha), i'm in a few business related clubs and I am the auditor of my fraternity (manage over $40g and budget it for the semester)

I concur with stoneimmaculate; chances look slim to none.

I apologize if my last post sounded cold.

Wharton generally only accepts students from top schools with EXCELLENT internships or EC's. Like internship at a PE firm for example got one kid in from UVA last year.

Your accomplishments aren't worthless, I'm not saying that, but apply somewhere else; Wharton is probably one of the hardest schools to transfer to in the world.

I'm a finance major, Smeal (Penn State) was ranked top 10 in finance last year (not sure of this year), what other b schools are significantly better that is worth transferring and that I at least have a shot at.

I think you should look into NYU-Stern if you are interested in it.

Yeah maybe try Stern or Cornell's AEM! Maybe even Baruch's Business Programs as those are very strong also.

if u want to stay in the same area, Lehigh(extremely high transfer acceptance rate) has a strong accounting and finance program. yes NYU has excellent finance prgrm too.

as far as Wharton goes, i can tell you in honesty its the top undergrad b-school in the us and probably the world. its that good.
whartons transfer acceptance rate is continually hovering around 5% - keep in mind many of those applicants are at better schools like UVa,UNC, etc.

wherever you end up, you'll get an excellent education.

p.s. at least you only have to pay private school tuition for 2 years! lol
