<p>As interesting as that sounds, it does seem like propaganda. They're obviously making attemps at boosting Dartmouth's reputation.</p>
<p>They don't need to, their presence on The Street in well established. What the interviewed banker said is the truth, there are limited jobs now and they will go to grads of only a few schools.</p>
<p>there's definitely truth to this. almost every recruiter i've spoken to has said that they still plan on hiring roughly the same number of people (or only slightly fewer) from their target schools as last year but are just dramatically shrinking the list of schools they take people from to compensate.</p>

<p>That's different than the part of the article claiming that Harvard and Yale grads are getting fired at a higher rate than Dartmouth grads, which seems anecdotal at best and more likely misleading or inaccurate.</p>
<p>Yes, that part seemed silly to me too. I will say, however, that the kids who have bosses who went to the same school as they did will be more protected. This has always been true. Cliques operate in a very dynamic way on The Street.</p>
