Intern Housing

Coming to Baltimore for a summer internship. I’m looking for housing and found Nine East 33rd. Anyone have any reviews of this? It appears to be brand new so there’s not much info.
Also, how many students are usually around for the summer? I’d like to meet some people to hang with on weekends, etc.
thanks

Are you doing the internship at Hopkins? I don’t know too much about off-campus housing(current freshman), but I know that some of my teammates on the swim team live there. They say that the rooms are generally very nice and that there are plenty of amenities, but the rent is very expensive. However, Nine East and other large apartment buildings generally do short-term leases, which a lot of smaller buildings and houses don’t do. You could also try subletting from someone as well.
A lot of students stay during the summer. Many do research or take classes. I’m personally planning to take a class over the summer.

Thank you @vrhou98, my internship is downtown. I need something furnished. I stayed in a similar place in Chicago last summer and it worked out well. Price is a little high but compared to other safe areas not that different. And I’d like to be around other young people/students, so I’m glad to hear people stay for summer. They do have short term leases but I haven’t seen anything as far as sublets. I see The Academy on Charles as well. Need to check that one. And I’ll check reddit too.

How is the area around 33rd? Looks good, with some retail just to the East. It’s within the JHU security zone I believe. How is the commute down to the inner harbor on the circulator or buses.
Also, if I wanted open space to get some fresh air, are there areas on campus just to walk around. What do students do?
thanks
