Hi all
I was wondering how hard it is to internally transfer into Mendoza from the College of Arts and Letter. I know people have said it is relatively common, but I wanted to confirm this.
According to the talk during Welcome Weekend last year, there is a competitive process to apply and transfer into Mendoza. Most are accepted (someone unaffiliated said “about 80%”) and it is common but keep your grades up. Within Mendoza, the Finance track is also competitive so that would be harder than, say, Marketing.

@wggevrr The following link might be useful, as it is an interview with Don Bishop, ND’s enrollment division head, about the undergraduate admissions process specifically for the Mendoza business school. In this article, he talks about the process for those wanting to enroll in Mendoza who do not get the “pre-approval” when they are first accepted. Hope this link helps.
For applicants looking to get into another college at ND besides the business school, this interview is also helpful in shedding light on what ND’s looking for in all applicants.

Im a current sophomore
Every person who I know who applied for an internal transfer got it. What people don’t really consider when saying that “if you keep your grades up you’ll be fine” is that first semester freshman year for non-engineers is very light, and getting a 3.8+ is very doable, meaning you’ll look really good when applying. Obviously don’t just come in and not study for anything but as long as you put in effort equal to or a little less than HS youll be fine first semester.
