Internal transfer between colleges at NU?

Which factors do they base their decision on, when you apply for an internal transfer? How doable is it?

Very easy. I think you may need a GPA of 2.0 or better.

This is assuming that you aren’t talking about special majors like Theatre or MMSS or the performance majors in Music.

You basically just need to not be on academic probation (from bad GPA) and apply before a certain time each quarter. Even if you miss that deadline, you can always apply for the next quarter. Additionally, you’d need usually need to meet with a representative of the school you’re entering and sometimes the school you’re leaving, but that’s usually just for the administration of the school(s) to be sure you know what you’re doing.

In general, the process is very easy.

@PurpleTitan I am actually a music performance major haha! How about in this case?

Transferring in to music performance or theatre would depend on abilities.

Transferring out shouldn’t be that hard.

@PurpleTitan I wanted to transfer from music to Arts and science haha. thanks anyways!
